Why Energy Gels Matter

After 60–90 minutes of hard effort, glycogen runs low and power output follows. Your body needs fast, bioavailable carbohydrate — and it needs it without the GI distress that kills races. Truefuels Energy Gels are formulated for rapid absorption, clean ingredients, and precise dosing. No bloating, no spike and crash. Just fuel that works when it matters most.

The Energy Gels Solution

1:1 Glucose–Fructose Ratio

40 g of Carbohydrates

Neutral Flavour

Facts

Why this formula?

Most gels are built around flavour or marketing claims. This one is built around how your body actually absorbs carbohydrate under effort. The 1:1 maltodextrin-to-fructose ratio uses two intestinal absorption pathways at once — which means more fuel gets in per hour without the gut issues that come from overloading a single pathway. Himalayan salt is included because hydration and energy delivery are linked: sodium helps you hold onto the fluid you need to keep working. The neutral flavour means you can take gel after gel, hour after hour, without your body starting to reject it. Every ingredient has a job. Nothing is added for appearance.

Who is this for?

For runners, cyclists, and triathletes training or racing at efforts where carbohydrate delivery becomes the limiting factor — typically sessions of 60 minutes or more. If you're targeting 60–120g of carbohydrate per hour, dealing with gut issues from other gels, or just tired of flavours too strong to take consistently, this formula was built around those problems.

Quality Ingredients

Six ingredients. Each one does a specific job.

Maltodextrin & Fructose (1:1 ratio)
Uses two absorption pathways at once instead of one — so more carbohydrate gets through per hour (up to 90g) without upsetting your stomach.

Himalayan Salt
The electrolyte your body loses fastest in sweat. Available in two doses: 0.25g for cool conditions, 1.0g when it's hot or you're going long.

Coconut Water Powder
A natural source of potassium, magnesium, and calcium — broader mineral support without synthetic additions.

Tri Magnesium Citrate
A form of magnesium your body can actually absorb well. Keeps muscles working properly across longer efforts.

Potassium Sorbate
Used at the lowest effective level to keep the product stable. No effect on taste or digestion.

Ingredients: Water, Maltodextrin, Fructose, Coconut Water Powder, Himalayan Salt, Tri Magnesium Citrate, Preservative (Potassium Sorbate)

How to Use.

Gel 40/0.25
Use in cool or moderate conditions, shorter sessions, or when sweat losses are lower.

Gel 40/1
Use in warm conditions, long sessions, or when sweat and sodium losses are high. It helps maintain fluid balance and supports sustained performance when demands increase.

Combination strategy
Mix both gels to individualise intake, e.g. 2×40/0.25 + 1×40/1 per hour for high intensity with moderate salt loss.
